Should I wash my hair before my appointment?​

Clean hair is always best! I suggest no more than two days of dirty hair. If you're getting your color done, your hair color must fight to get to your hair. If there is hair products it can be harder for the hair color to lift.

How often will I have to come in?​

​

For women who have been receiving highlights, balayage, or color I suggest every 6-10 weeks. Haircuts are recommended every 4-8 weeks, depending on length. 

Can I bring my children?​

Please note that a salon environment can be dangerous (and boring) place for little ones. It is not recommended to bring them unless they have an appointment of their own. Megan Mowins Hair Artistry  is NOT childproofed. There are chemicals, breakables, outlets, sharp objects, hot tools, etc. within reach to little hands. 

What happens if I'm not happy with my hair?​

I pride myself on doing a thorough consultation prior to each service to ensure 100% happiness. I realize that sometimes once you get home you may find something you would like to adjust. I am happy to make those adjustments within 7 days of receiving the service. I cannot provide refunds on services.

How often should I get a deep conditioning treatment?

I suggest getting a deep conditioning treatment at every service. I only get to see you every 6 weeks or more, that's a lot of wear and tear in between. I suggest Unite's Masque once a week for at home use.

What happens if I cancel or need to reschedule my appointment? â€‹

I understand that that things come up and you need to cancel or reschedule. I ask that you reach out 48 hours ahead of your appointment. If you need to cancel within  the 48 hour notice there will be a $25 service fee for every service, that will be added to your profile and must be paid before you schedule another appointment. For example if you were scheduled for a color and cut there will be a cancellation fee of $50. 

What happens if I'm running late?​

If you are more than 15 minutes late I may refuse service or alter services so that it doesn’t effect the rest of my scheduled appointments.

I strive to always be on time for my guests. If I am running significantly behind I will make every effort to contact you prior to your appointment time. The only way I can ensure my punctuality is if each guest in my salon arrives on time for their appointment.

What happens if I don't love my shampoo?​

​

If you aren't happy with the product purchased you may return within 10 days for a full refund. Returns are not accepted on empty or almost empty product. Tools can be returned within one week of purchase.
